Persil - Heroine of the Forum!
A true heroine and wonderful friend, Vicki has been such a star helping her friend through diagnosis

Quote:
I would like to nominate Vicki (Persil) for heroine of the month for her kind and caring support for her newly diagnosed friend. She is an inspirational person and really deserves recongnition
Quote:
for sticking by her friend over the past few weeks whilst she has been going through such a delayed diagnosis, for being such a support system to her, and for just being there for someone who has been diagnosed with what looks like type 1 or 1.5 diabetes. Amazing.
Couldn't agree more! Well done Vicki!

Well deserved Vicki. I have been reading your post with interest and really pleased to see you now have a diagnosis. I hope the treatment gets sorted soon and your friend starts to feel a lot better. Well done for supporting her so much.

Guys, I really am choked!!

But it's not just me that deserves this title. I know you don't know them, but I am going to add some names.......(I hope that's ok!!)

Firstly, Alice -- my friend who has finally been diagnosed. That girl has put up with me panicking and sugar testing her so much over the past few months, and faced the prospect, and now reality, of diabetes with such strength it amazes me.

Secondly, to the rest of my flat mates. They've watched Alice get worse, and me get more and more worried. They've been absolute rocks, and I couldn't have asked for any more support from people that I've know for such a short amount of time. They've played a huge role in getting Alice her diagnosis, and the I am eternally grateful to them.

Vicki
